sooo to recap, it was Joe Quinn who wanted Eddie to wear rings, he improvised some of Eddie’s best lines (I love you man / Don’t you big boy / etc) and he said he did a lot of things spontaneously, the Duffers said he was the only actor that could even do the cafeteria scene without making the audience permanently hate Eddie, and he was the one who played Eddie more approachable and likeable than intimidating like he was originally supposed to be … and yet Joe said he doubted so much and was afraid they would realize they made a mistake casting him???
Listen, I’m so glad that he was chosen for this role because he brought so much life to Eddie and no one else could’ve done the character justice the way that Joe did.
